Synopsis
A Trip to Infinity (2022) is a Netflix documentary you can watch online on iFILM. Does infinity actually exist? Can a human mind ever truly grasp it? Over 79 minutes, mathematicians, particle physicists and cosmologists chase that question down some very strange roads.
The film gathers a sharp lineup of thinkers — Brian Greene, Carlo Rovelli, Janna Levin, Steven Strogatz, Eugenia Cheng — and lets them pull paradoxes apart one by one, from Hilbert's endless hotel to whether space keeps dividing forever or hits a floor. The abstractions don't stay on a chalkboard. Directors Jonathan Halperin and Drew Takahashi fold each idea into hand-drawn animation built by artists from ten countries.
It plays less like a lecture and more like eavesdropping on smart people who genuinely don't know where the numbers stop. Worth it if you like science that admits its own limits — half the questions here have no answer yet, and that's the most thrilling part. Stream A Trip to Infinity (2022) online on iFILM.
