Synopsis
Unprincipled (Беспринципные, 2020), Season 1 is a Russian satirical comedy you can watch online on iFILM — eight episodes about the well-off residents of Moscow's Patriarch's Ponds. Our guide through their indecent little world is Slavik, a charming liar played by Pavel Derevyanko.
Think of the season as a string of short, unmentionable stories about respectable people. Husbands chase a thrill on the side; their wives pretend not to notice; General Khadyakov keeps dodging his formidable spouse. A henpecked Kostya brings home a stray dog that turns out to be a wealthy heiress, while young con artists Pasha and Yulia fleece their marks and then, foolishly, marry each other. Each episode is its own anecdote, yet the threads tie together by the end — and Slavik keeps paying for that loose tongue, even getting "treated" so he physically can't lie anymore.
