Territory (Territoriya, 2020) is a Russian mystery drama you can watch online on iFILM. Nineteen-year-old Egor Chudinov travels with his uncle to a remote village in the Perm Region, where his parents vanished without a trace during an ethnographic expedition. Igor Tverdokhlebov directs.

A rumor about a camp on an ancient hill fort sets them moving. Egor, his uncle Nikolai and two philology students push deeper into a land that runs by its own rules. Sicknesses are cured by sorcerers here, hermits see out their days in forest dugouts, and misfortune gets blamed on a witch's curse. Somewhere in the thickets walks a bear-shaman straight out of Komi-Permyak myth. The young man scoffs at all of it at first — until the place starts answering him for real. Gleb Kalyuzhny leads, with Andrey Merzlikin and Alexey Serebryakov beside him.

The series draws on genuine Finno-Ugric folklore, and that's its trump card: the myth isn't set dressing, it's the air the characters breathe. Dark, atmospheric and rooted in a real sense of place.
