Synopsis
The Kings of the World (2022) is a Colombian road drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Laura Mora. Rá, Culebro, Sere, Winny and Nano — five young men who grew up on the streets of Medellín, with no papers, no family, no fixed address. One of them received word: the government will finally return land taken during the conflict. So they set out to claim it.
Mora made the film with non-professional actors drawing directly on their own experiences, and the result sits somewhere between documentary and lyric fiction. No conventional plot, no urgency — just five people the world forgot about, moving through the Colombian countryside and calling themselves kings.
