We Are Not Angels

We Are Not Angels (Ми нисмо анђели, 1992) is a Serbian romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Srđan Dragojević and starring Nikola Kojo as Belgrade's most irresponsible bachelor.

Nikola doesn't believe in commitment, accountability, or staying sober at parties. He moves through women the way other people move through coffee. Then one morning after a night he can barely reconstruct, a girl named Marina turns out to be rather more of a permanent fixture in his life than expected.

An angel and a devil both stake a claim on his soul, and neither makes a fully convincing case. Dragojević — before Pretty Village, Pretty Flame and The Wounds made him a major name — shot this as a fast, funny city picture with a script that actually lands its jokes and a Belgrade that feels lived-in.
