Prudence Beresford has been itching for a real case. Her aunt Babette hands her one: she spotted a murder through a train window as it passed a lakeside château. Nobody believes her. Prudence does — so she talks her way in as the household cook. Inside she finds a short-tempered patriarch, four suspicious adult children, and at least one sarcophagus that shouldn't be where it is.
