Ex-cop Simon Brenner has traded homicide cases for repo work. It pays, it's quiet, no one gets shot. Then a friend asks a favor: find out what happened to a man named Horvat, last seen at a roadside joint called the Grillbird. Brenner orders something from the menu. The discovery that follows is exactly as bad as the restaurant's name suggests.
