The Little Fox

Watch Vuk — The Little Fox (1981) online on iFILM, the Hungarian animated feature directed by Attila Dargay and based on the novel by István Fekete. A fox cub named Vuk loses his family to a hunter and has to grow up fast, learning the forest from an old fox who teaches him that survival depends on being smarter than everyone else.

Over 79 minutes Vuk goes from a helpless kit to an adult who outmaneuvers the hunter the locals call Smoothskin. Dargay drew the animals with a naturalist's eye — no cheerful sidekicks, no comic relief, just creatures shaped by instinct and loss.
