Synopsis
Valley of the Wolves: Iraq (Kurtlar Vadisi: Irak, 2006) is a Turkish action drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Serdar Akar built the film around a real incident: on July 4, 2003, US special forces in Sulaymaniyah detained eleven Turkish soldiers and marched them out with hoods over their heads — in full view of the local population, without a word of explanation. Tagline: War Without Rules.
Agent Polat Alemdar arrives in occupied Iraq to settle the account. His road goes through Abu Ghraib, street executions, and a black-market organ trade the film presents without flinching. Billy Zane plays an American officer who treats international law as a suggestion he can ignore. Gary Busey appears as a military surgeon. Necati Şaşmaz delivers Polat as a man of few words and decisive action — the same steel-nerved figure the franchise was built on.
On release, the film smashed Turkish box-office records and triggered a diplomatic storm in both Ankara and Washington. Confrontational, undiplomatic, and made without apology. Stream Valley of the Wolves: Iraq online on iFILM.
