Watch The Three Faces of Eve (1957) online on iFILM — a psychological drama directed by Nunnally Johnson. Joanne Woodward plays the title role and landed the Academy Award for Best Actress for it.
Eve White is a meek Georgia housewife: chronic headaches, memory gaps, a husband who notices something is wrong. Under the care of psychiatrist Dr. Curtis Luther, a second personality surfaces during a session — brash, uninhibited, nothing like the first. Then a third appears, clear-headed and oddly calm, as if watching the other two from a distance. Luther has stumbled into one of the rarest cases in clinical literature.
The film draws on a real study by Corbett Thigpen and Hervey Cleckley, who treated Christine Costner Sizemore in the early 1950s. Woodward played three distinct women using nothing but posture, voice and facial control — no disguise, no tricks. Alistair Cooke narrates. Stream The Three Faces of Eve online on iFILM.
