The dragon everyone calls Uncle Wing was raised in the woods by a mother cat, which explains why he spends his days watching over a loose colony of felines rather than terrorizing anything. He's supposed to hate humans. He mostly believes this. The cats around him keep running into people anyway: one vanishes into an adventure with a human prince, another settles into city life and studies passersby from a window ledge. Each story nudges Uncle Wing toward something he hasn't named yet. Warm, unhurried fantasy built on small moments of trust — rare in the genre.
