Synopsis

Kym (Anne Hathaway) is carrying ten years of addiction and clinics behind her. The house is packed with guests, musicians and pre-wedding chaos, but her arrival stirs up everything the family would rather leave unsaid. Her older sister Rachel (Rosemarie DeWitt) doesn't want her big day swallowed by yet another crisis about Kym. Their father chooses his words carefully. Demme shoots it almost like a documentary: handheld camera, live music played right in the room, the feeling that you're a guest at this wedding.
