Synopsis

It's Paris, 1995. While preparing an exhibition of Georgian painter Pirosmani, Anton Gogaladze comes across an old manuscript written by his mother, Georgian princess Sesilia Abashidze. The manuscript is the story of Pascal Ichak — a large-hearted French chef who arrived in early-1920s Tbilisi expecting to stay three days and never left. The city gave him everything: crowded feasts, a reputation, and a love that held together even after the Red Army arrived and dismantled the world he'd wandered into.
