Synopsis

A donkey, a cat, a dog and a rooster escape a farm before their owners can slaughter them, bound for the city of Bremen and a new life as street musicians. Meanwhile, a young woman runs from home to avoid an arranged marriage to a wealthy neighbor she cannot stand — and the servant who loves her follows her out the door. The two stories inevitably collide.
