Synopsis
True Fear (Äkta skräck, 2024) is a Swedish horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Two best friends who run an online history show about the macabre head out to the site of an old witch hunt to shoot their next episode.
The spot they pick once hosted the largest witch execution the region remembers. Back in the 17th century a local vicar staged his killings here, convinced his victims were descended from the very first witches. The cruel twist: one of the women truly did hold power, and with her dying breath she cursed both the priest and the ground itself. The moment the friends start filming, something that should have stayed buried begins to stir. Their camera catches phenomena that refuse any rational read.
Director Daniel di Grado keeps it tight at 92 minutes, a found-footage-flavoured chiller where the truth about those first witches turns out worse than the legend. Rated 18+. One for fans of folk horror about cursed places and old sins clawing back up. Stream True Fear (2024) online on iFILM.
