Synopsis
All Shall Be Well (2024) is a Hong Kong drama you can watch online on iFILM. Angie and Pat have shared the same flat, and the same life, for more than thirty years. Family and friends treat their bond as ordinary and settled — as long as Pat is around to hold it together.
Then Pat dies in the night, with no warning. At first her relatives surround Angie with comfort, but the kindness curdles fast once the talk turns to the funeral, the inheritance, and who really owns the apartment. On paper, Angie has no claim to the home or even a place at the goodbye. Director Ray Yeung skips the big tragic gestures for something quieter — a slow, domestic fight to keep her dignity when a lifelong love counts for nothing in law.
Patra Au Ga-Man carries it in a restrained, watchful performance built on glances rather than tears. A Teddy Award winner at the Berlinale, this one is for viewers who like patient Asian cinema about love, loss, and the human cost of paperwork. Stream All Shall Be Well online on iFILM.
