Synopsis
Mimang (2024) is a quiet Korean drama by Kim Tae-yang, and you can watch online on iFILM. A man and a woman cross paths by chance and wander the streets of Seoul together — once, then again, years apart.
There's barely a plot in the usual sense. Alleys get torn down, cafés close, the city reshapes itself, and the two keep drifting in and out of each other's lives. The Korean word "mimang" carries three meanings at once: lost and disoriented, unable to forget, seeing things from a distance. Shot over four years, the film lets real time settle into the frame — on the actors' faces and on the skin of the city.
A 92-minute chamber piece closer to Linklater than to anything loud: nothing explodes, everything rides on pauses and what stays unsaid. One for viewers who love slow films about memory and the time that slips by. Stream Mimang (2024) online on iFILM.
