Synopsis
The Devil's Doorway (2018) is an Irish found-footage horror you can watch online on iFILM. Autumn 1960: the Vatican sends two priests to investigate reports of a miracle at a Magdalene laundry in Ireland — one of the Church-run institutions where unmarried mothers were held against their will. One priest records everything on film.
What Father Thomas Riley and Father John Thornton find is not a miracle. There is a pregnant girl locked behind a door, sounds that don't come from any natural source, and evidence that something inhuman got there before the Church did. Director Aislinn Clarke anchored the film in the real history of the Magdalene laundries — a genuinely dark chapter of 20th-century Ireland — and that factual weight separates it from standard found-footage fare.
