The Traitor

The Traitor (1926) is a short silent drama by Abram Room, free to watch online on iFILM. A coastal town before the revolution, a secret Bolshevik cell, and a man playing both sides.

A Tsarist secret-police agent worms his way in among revolutionary sailors and gives them up one by one — until the revolution catches up with him. The film survives only in part; reels were lost, which lends the remaining half-hour an almost archaeological weight.
