Tension builds between Clodagh, the unstable Sister Ruth, and the estate's caretaker Mr. Dean — and it cracks wide open by the Christmas episode. Forbidden longing, jealousy, and old ghosts pull everyone toward the very tragedy the palace seems to want repeated.
