Synopsis
Melancholia (멜랑꼴리아, 2021) is a South Korean drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Kim Sang-hyub sets it inside a prestigious private school where high test scores are the public face and institutional corruption is the private business.
Ji Yoon-su (Im Su-jeong) is a math teacher — principled and not easily pushed around. Her student Baek Seung-yoo (Lee Do-hyun) looks like an underachiever at school, but his history reads differently: a childhood math prodigy who enrolled at MIT at ten and then vanished at twelve. A scandal between teacher and student ends her career. Four years later they meet again as adults and start pulling at threads the school worked hard to keep buried.
