Synopsis
You Can't Wait (2023) is a Russian comedy-drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Small-time con man Vitalik takes a job as an orderly in a retirement home, hoping to lie low while his creditors cool off and skim a little cash off the residents.
The old folks turn out to be nothing like he expected. Behind the wheelchairs and tea breaks sit former thieves, schemers and chancers whose life stories leave the young grifter speechless. The longer he stays, the harder it gets to write them off as "past their prime" — there's still fire in them, the same restless spark he recognizes in himself. The ensemble brings together legends of Soviet cinema: Yevgenia Simonova, Emmanuil Vitorgan, Svetlana Nemolyaeva and Natalya Varley.
