Dwight "The General" Manfredi did twenty-five years without saying a word that hurt the family. His reward: exile to Tulsa, Oklahoma. One suitcase, no crew, no favor owed by anyone west of the Hudson. Dwight doesn't sulk — he gets to work. He recruits a pot-shop owner named Bodhi (Martin Starr), a young driver called Tyson (Jay Will), and slowly assembles the most unlikely crime operation in the state's history. Blocking his path: a sharp-eyed FBI agent (Kevin Pollak), a rival local power broker (Neal McDonough), and a boss back in New York who exiled him for a reason.

Stallone plays Dwight straight — no winking at the camera, no self-parody. The comedy comes from the gap between a man who operates by a code forged in 1970s Brooklyn and a city that has no idea what that code even means.
