Synopsis
My Strange Hero (2018) is a South Korean drama series you can watch online on iFILM, mixing rom-com, high-school mystery and a slow-burning grudge. Yoo Seung-ho stars as Kang Bok-soo, a young man whose life was knocked off course by a lie told years ago.
Back in high school, Bok-soo was framed for a violent assault he never committed and expelled, set up by his first love Son Soo-jung and a classmate, Oh Se-ho. As an adult with nothing going his way, he enrolls in the very same school all over again, supposedly to finish his diploma but really to settle the score. The place has changed, the girl who betrayed him has changed, and instead of clean revenge he keeps getting tangled in other people's secrets and old feelings he thought were dead.
It's a familiar K-drama setup about second chances, but the detective thread, the awkward comedy and the steadily softening resentment give it real shape. Alongside Yoo Seung-ho, the cast features Jo Bo-ah and Kwak Dong-yeon. A good fit for fans of school-set Korean series that hide an adult conversation about fairness under the laughs.
