On her way to be married, Jiang Taohua meets Shen Zaiye. Later, fearing the wedding might be called off, she resolves to take action.

Jiang Taohua marries Shen Zaiye willingly, but he suspects she may have ulterior motives. On their wedding day, he sets a trap to humiliate her.

Jiang Tao Hua and Shen Zai Ye test each other in a tense standoff. After Xue Ran is killed, Shen Zai Ye takes swift action.

Jiang Tao Hua escapes from the Crown Prince's residence and seeks help from Mu Wu Xia. She then offers to help Shen Zai Ye take on Meng Zhen Zhen.

Jiang Tao Hua and Shen Zai Ye come up with a scheme. On the wedding day, Meng Zhen Zhen stirs trouble, and Jiang Tao Hua waits for an opportunity.

With their whereabouts discovered, Jiang Tao Hua and Shen Zai Ye distract the ambushers while Mu Wu Xia and Xiang Qing Ying lead the villagers to safety.

Shen Zai Ye and Jiang Tao Hua discover the location of the silver mine and relocate the planned hunt. Meng Huai Jin schemes against them.

Xiang Qing Ying comforts Mu Wu Xia. Shen Zai Ye and Jiang Tao Hua are trapped. After escaping, they decide to team up to confront Empress Lu.

Shen Zai Ye is ambushed in the mine — but Mu Wu Xia comes to the rescue. Meanwhile, Jiang Tao Hua takes bold risks to earn Shen Zai Ye's trust.

After defeating the Crown Prince, Shen Zai Ye continues dealing with the Meng family and grows closer to Jiang Tao Hua.

Meng Zhen Zhen unsuccessfully tries to poison Shen Zai Ye, who takes this opportunity to wipe out other threats hiding within his household.

Jiang Tao Hua makes a shocking discovery. Shen Zai Ye targets a key enemy but is injured trying to capture them.

Xiang Qing Ying befriends Li Jiao Han, and Mu Wu Xia becomes jealous. Jiang Tao Hua confides in Shen Zai Ye, who chooses to trust her.

Jiang Tao Hua is attacked — but Shen Zai Ye comes to the rescue. Together, they uncover a new secret.

When explosions rock the city, Empress Lu escapes. She then seals the city off — but Shen Zai Ye leads the rest of the inhabitants to break out.

Mu Wu Xia presents evidence of Mu Wu Yin's treason. Jiang Tao Hua and Shen Zai Ye pledge their love to each other. Mu Wu Yin imprisons Empress Lu.

The King of Qi is forced to yield to Mu Wu Yin. Shen Zai Ye and Mu Wu Xia mobilize troops to rescue him. Empress Lu is exposed at the succession ceremony.

Mu Wu Yin and Empress Lu are toppled. Mu Wu Xia and Xiang Qing Ying pledge their love. Meng Zhong Yan confesses — then kills himself.

Shen Zai Ye unveils his true identity, vindicating the Xie family. Empress Lu reemerges and attempts to stir up trouble again.

Jiang Tao Hua passes Qian Mo Chen's test. Shen Zai Ye is poisoned while testing some medicine, leaving Jiang Tao Hua heartbroken and helpless.

Shen Zai Ye sets a trap to lure Empress Lu. Qian Mo Chen and Empress Lu die together. Shen Zai Ye and Jiang Tao Hua finally get married.
