Christmas shop owner Emily Lane uses secret skills to investigate a murder when a poisoned cookie links her to the crime. Detective Sam Wilner navigates the holidays with daughter Violet.

With time running out to prove her friend's innocence, Emily puts her own secret past on the line to find the real tree farm killer, raising suspicion from Detective Sam Wilner.

After a string of suspicious accidents, Emily goes undercover in the local choir to investigate. Sam, however, remains skeptical. Violet takes on more responsibility at the shop.

When the choir attacks escalate, Emily and Sam grow closer as they work together to find the culprit. Emily helps Violet out of a precarious situation by tapping into her dark past.

The murder of the town Scrooge leads Emily and other shopkeepers to A Christmas Carol themed scavenger hunt orchestrated by the victim. Emily tries to keep Sam at arm's length.

As Christmas draws closer, Emily continues to solve the scavenger hunt while also tracking a killer. Violet plans a surprise for Sam. Emily's mysterious past complicates her future.
