Synopsis

Yegor Ozhogin started drinking after his wife died, Anatoly Davydov's womanizing soured his bosses, Mikhail Belsky pulled off one too-profitable operation, and naive orphanage kid Sergei Matyukhin actually treats the posting as a promotion. With nowhere else to go, they live and work under one roof — an old, half-abandoned precinct the neighbors nicknamed "the house with cops." The only way to earn a service flat and a corner of their own is to close case after case. Director Andrei Sizykh blends the procedural grind with a story about strangers whom circumstance slowly turns into something like family.
