Synopsis
"Furtseva. Legend of Ekaterina" (2011) is a Russian biographical drama series available to watch online on iFILM. Ekaterina Furtseva worked the looms in a textile factory in provincial Vyshniy Volochok. She ended her career as USSR Minister of Culture and a member of the CPSU Central Committee Presidium. The only woman the Soviet system ever let that far in.
The series traces her path: Komsomol activism, the Moscow party apparatus, and finally the years when she controlled what Soviet citizens saw on stage and screen. Those years came at a price — backstabbing, forced compromises, loyalty tests no rulebook ever explained.
