Violetta grew up inside Mexico City's wealthy circles and wanted nothing to do with any of it. She needed money and a way out, and when neither appeared on their own she did something irreversible: stole over a hundred thousand dollars from her parents and boarded a flight to New York. The city did not deliver what she was promised — the money ran out fast, and Violetta ended up in the orbit of a manipulative figure who goes by Nefastófeles.
