Missions (2017), Season 1 — ten-episode French sci-fi from Canal+, watch online on iFILM. The Ulysses crew reaches Mars. That is where the plan ends.
The ship's psychiatrist Jeanne is on board to monitor mental health; she ends up being the first to confront the impossible. A body on the surface has no right to be there. Vladimir Komarov — a Soviet cosmonaut who died in 1967 — is somehow present and offers almost nothing by way of explanation. Underground, the crew finds monuments that predate any human visit. Meanwhile, Goldstein's Zillion 2 mission arrives with reassurances that don't add up. Jeanne and Simon follow Komarov's trail deeper into the glacier while the crew left on the ship runs out of people it can trust. A storm builds before anyone reaches an answer.
Season 1 is a slow-burn mystery that uses the Martian landscape to ask something stranger than a survival question. Stream all episodes of Missions Season 1 online on iFILM.
