Atomny Les (2012) is a Russian adult animated sci-fi comedy — rated 18+ — that you can watch online on iFILM. The premise: Radioactive Nature Reserve No. 4, somewhere in the far future. Three mutant bears named Caesium, Strontium, and Iodine share the territory with hundreds of grotesque creatures of improbable appearance, all locked in an unending dispute over food and turf.

Humans dump chemicals into the reserve from time to time; occasionally one falls in by accident, at which point the ecological chain of command resolves things quickly. The comedy works by playing none of this for horror — the bears carry the squabbles, petty grievances, and territorial logic of ordinary neighbours, which makes the whole setup funnier and grimmer in equal parts.
