Qumi-Qumi (Seasons 1–2)

Qumi-Qumi (2012) is a Russian animated comedy series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Vladimir Ponomarev. Three tribes — the Yumi, Shumi and Jumi — share a cluster of colorful fantasy islands and collectively refuse to acknowledge how similar they are. Each tribe is convinced the others are the peculiar ones.

They all speak the same invented gibberish language, which the viewer somehow understands without subtitles. Episodes are short and self-contained, built out of misunderstandings and small accidental discoveries. Light enough for young children, pointed enough to make adults smile at the tribal logic.
