Synopsis
Untouchable Lovers (凤囚凰, 2018) is a Chinese historical romance series you can watch online on iFILM. Adapted from Tian Yufeng's novel "A Tale of Two Phoenixes," the story is set in 464 AD — Liu Song dynasty, ruthless ruler Liu Ziye on the throne — when a secretive martial-arts guild called Tianji Tower decides to bring him down. Their plan: slip a disciple named Zhu Que into court posing as the emperor's sister, Princess Liu Chuyu.
At court Zhu Que meets Rong Zhi — officially the princess's closest companion, secretly a Northern Wei spy. They fall for each other while working directly against each other's mission. Betrayal, two deaths, and a shared memory wipe separate them. Five years later, Zhu Que is sent north to marry Northern Wei's Prince Regent — who turns out to be Rong Zhi.
