Павел с Таней Лариной и Нюточкой отправляются на отдых в Крым. По заданию Шерова Таня Захаржевская пытается в Москве отыскать принца Дебоко, но выясняет, что он скрывается в Ленинграде. При необычных обстоятельствах Принц знакомится с Лизаветой, приехавшей погостить к сестре. Принц влюбляется в Лизу и рассказывает ей свою историю. Захаржевская встречается с Дебоко и организовывает его свидание с Архимедом. Архимед обещает помочь принцу с оружием и военным советником...

Татьяна Захаржевская прилетает в Санкт-Петербург. В пути она знакомится со странным господином Мак Деннишем, который вместе с бабушкой, Анной Давыдовной, предрекает ей счастливую развязку предстоящих драматических событий. Павел Чернов (Поль Розен) и Татьяна Ларина (Розен) живут обыденной семейной жизнью. Павел встречает в аэропорту Лизавету (Элизабет Дебока) и её сына Михаэля. После развала СССР Королевство Маконго переживает кровопролитную гражданскую войну. Елизавета и её сын с помощью генерала Российской миссии успевают покинуть страну. А судьба её мужа, короля Дебоко, неизвестна...

Архимед получает от незнакомца видеокассету, на которой заснят момент убийства депутата Шарова, помощником которого он является. Один из петербургских авторитетов, глава радикальной молодежной группировки Герман Кошкин использует эту кассету в качестве средства давления на Архимеда, пытаясь заставить его работать на себя. Павел и Елена встречаются у могилы отца. Павел хочет остаться в России и вернуть себе прежнюю фамилию. Никита торопит Кошкина с выдвижением кандидата на предстоящие выборы. Неожиданно Кошкин встречает старинного знакомого - Лимонтьева и понимает что он - идеальный кандидат. К Елене неожиданно приезжает Воронов и просит развода. Елена хочет, чтобы он помог Павлу...

Анна пытается устроить ловушку Арчи и Анзору, но сама едва спасается благодаря Яну. Марлон прячет Анну и Яна у себя в каморке. Поняв, что в прихваченной ею барсетке наркотики, Анна выкидывает её в реку. Дядя Важа просит Кошкина помочь найти Анну и вернуть товар или деньги. Рафалович выдвигает свою кандидатуру на выборы и становится серьезным конкурентом Лимонтьева. Никита предлагает Рафаловичу сойти с дистанции...

В передаче Ивана Татьяна Захаржевская видит сэра Шона и узнает, что он - её дальний родственник. Но попытка отыскать его ни к чему не приводит: сэр Шон исчезает. Рафаловичу становится известно о журналистском расследовании Ивана. Архимед неожиданно появляется у Захаржевской и просит её повлиять на Никиту. Анна, обнаружив в мастерской Мишани своего друга Степу в состоянии алкогольного опьянения, решает воспользоваться своими магическими способностями и избавить его от пагубного порока...

Рафалович приходит к Ларину и признается, что был причастен к делу о хищениях в армии. Крюгер вламывается в подвал, где живут беспризорники, и похищает Марлона. Никита приводит ряженых в ресторан, где празднует День рожденья Ёлка. Оскорбленная Ёлка уезжает в Смольный. В её кабинет приходит Рафалович. Ёлка и Рафалович понимают, что до сих пор любят друг друга. Никита, вернувшись домой узнает, что Клава чуть не умерла...

Встретившись с Лариным, Ковалев предлагает передать ему все материалы о хищениях в армии. Захаржевская приходит к Черновым, чтобы переговорить с Павлом, и около их квартиры знакомится с Яном. Михаэль случайно снимает всех присутствующих в квартире на видеокамеру. Татьяне удается забирать пленку, подменив её другой. Неожиданное появление Нюты приводит Захаржевскую в смятение. Ларин звонит Ковалеву и дает согласие обнародовать его секретные документы...

Ян советует Кошкину потребовать деньги с отца Нюты. Свидетелем этого разговора случайно становится Андрей и понимает, что в подвале по просьбе Яна кого-то прячут. Увидев подслушивающего Андрея, Крюгер начинает подозревать его в предательстве. Кошкин отпускает Яна и Нюту. Ян передает Павлу требование Кошкина о выплате денег за украденные наркотики. Лизавета предлагает продать все свои драгоценности, чтобы отдать долг. Но Павел намерен сам решить эту проблему. Лизавета по секрету сообщает Яну о том, что скоро приедет Дебоко...

Рафалович в больнице. Ёлка, пришедшая его навестить, скрывает факт гибели Ивана. В это время появляется приехавшая из Израиля Лиля. Увидев в палате Ёлку, она все понимает и, перед уходом рассказывает Рафаловичу, что Иван убит. Охранник Кошкина Андрей находит Нюту и предупреждает её о связи шефа с Яном и о том, что Кошкин прячет кого-то в подвале. Анна решает во всем разобраться сама. Выступая на телевидении, Лимонтьев обвиняет Рафаловича в причастности к убийству Ларина. Узнав о случившимся, Архимед решает переехать за границу...

В доме Черновых встревожены исчезновением дочери. А в загородном доме Татьяны Захаржевской ждут приезда Владимир Дебоко, прилетевшего из Парижа. Неожиданно Марлон сообщает Татьяне, что Анна у Германа. Успокоив Павла и Таню Черновых, Захаржевская едет спасть дочь. Татьяна Чернова и Лже-Ян направляются в загородный дом. Захаржевскойя с подругами удается проникнуть в дом Кошкина, но Яна и Нюты там уже нет. Захватив в заложники Германа, они бросаются в погоню...

Лже-Ян бесследно пропадает из загородного дома. Захаржевской удается отбить у бандитов дочь, но, в перестрелке погибает охранник Андрей. Дебоко увозят на квартиру к Захаржевской и там, на семейном совете решают на время переправить его на юг. В тот же городок приезжают и Ёлка с поправляющимся Рафаловичем...
