Synopsis
Bad Mothers (2019) is an Australian drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Sarah has everything sorted: she runs a GP practice, keeps the house running, raises the kids. Then she finds out her husband has been sleeping with her best friend — and the whole careful structure collapses.
It gets worse from there. When that best friend turns up dead and Sarah's husband Anton is arrested for murder, she's left dealing with a blown-up marriage and a police investigation at the same time. What pulls her through is a group of equally imperfect mothers from the neighbourhood — the self-declared Bad Mothers — played by Jessica Tovey, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Tess Haubrich. The series, directed in part by Catriona McKenzie, is sharper than its premise suggests: a dark comedy of suburban life that earns its tagline, "Motherhood Can Be Murder."
