Synopsis
Altar of Tristan (2017) — watch online on iFILM — is a Russian crime series directed by Oleg Shtrom, starring Elena Velikanova as Sasha, an art consultant at a low point in both her career and personal life who agrees to advise the police on cases involving works of art.
Her first case: reconstruct a portrait of an unknown woman to help Captain Grekov (Dmitry Bederin) identify the killer of a theater set designer. It quickly becomes clear the designer wasn't the first to die under strange circumstances in that theater — and won't be the last. The killer doesn't stay hidden. He makes contact with Sasha directly, and the game he starts has her life and the life of someone close to her as the stakes. Also starring Lyubov Germanova and Maksim Shchyogolev.
