Dalíland

Dalíland (2022) is a historical drama directed by Mary Harron — watch online on iFILM. Ben Kingsley plays Salvador Dalí in 1974 New York, an aging provocateur whose canvases have gone quiet while the parties rage on.

A young gallery assistant named James is sent to get the old master ready for a major New York show. The task sounds simple. It isn't. Dalí holds court at the St. Regis Hotel, staging spectacles with Andreja Pejić and a rotating cast of admirers, while his wife and manager Gala — played by Barbara Sukowa — keeps the business alive through sheer force of will. Christopher Briney plays James as someone who expected myth and found a very tired man instead.

Ezra Miller takes the younger Dalí in flashback sequences, tracing how the persona was built. Harron, known for American Psycho, treats celebrity as a trap rather than a triumph — and Kingsley delivers a performance that makes the moustache feel like a cage.
