Synopsis
Finestkind (2023) — watch online on iFILM, a crime thriller written and directed by Brian Helgeland. Two half-brothers grew up on opposite shores of the same life: one on the fishing boats of coastal New England, the other far inland in a different family. They reconnect as adults just when things start going badly wrong for both of them.
Debt and bad luck push them into a deal with a Boston organized crime outfit — the kind of arrangement that tends to end badly for everyone not actually in the mob. Ben Foster and Toby Wallace play men who never planned on being criminals. Jenna Ortega gets pulled into the fallout, and Tommy Lee Jones circles the edges. Helgeland, who wrote L.A. Confidential and Mystic River, keeps the tension close to the ground.
