Synopsis
About a Boy Season 1 (2014) is here to watch online on iFILM — thirteen episodes of NBC's comedy-drama adapted from Nick Hornby's novel. Will Freeman wrote one hit song years ago and has coasted on the royalties ever since: no job, no commitments, no problem.
Then the season blows up his routine. A frazzled single mom, Fiona, moves in next door with her eleven-year-old son Marcus — a blunt, peculiar kid who fits in nowhere at school. Marcus starts turning up uninvited, and what begins as a reluctant arrangement slowly turns into a real friendship between an overgrown man-child and a boy who acts twice his age. Will learns to think past himself, Fiona learns to loosen her grip, and Marcus finds footing outside his own home. Each episode is a small, low-stakes story about chosen family.
