TV-MASynopsis
Dr. Death (2021), Season 2 is the crime drama you can watch online on iFILM — eight episodes that drop the Dallas neurosurgeon entirely and hand the anthology a new villain: Paolo Macchiarini, the Italian "Miracle Man" famous for implanting artificial windpipes.
This run braids two timelines. In one, journalist Benita Alexander pitches a story on the celebrated surgeon and falls for him before she understands what she's walking into. In the other, doctors in Sweden, Belgium and Russia keep watching Macchiarini's "breakthrough" patients deteriorate and die, while the animal trials he claims to have run turn out to be fiction. Gamelli, Svensson and Lasbrey choose to blow the whistle and lose their standing for it. Benita, meanwhile, starts pulling at the seams of every promise Paolo made her.
Where the first season tracked one con, this one runs two at once — the patients on the table and the woman being lied to in her own kitchen. Based on a true story and the Wondery podcast. Stream Dr. Death Season 2 online on iFILM.
