Season 3

Synopsis

21 Jump Street (1987), Season 3 is the crime drama to watch online on iFILM — twenty episodes from 1988, with the undercover unit back in classrooms and on campuses, though the lineup has shifted. Booker joins the squad, and Hanson takes to him badly; too much about the new partner rubs him wrong.

Season 3 keeps pressing on the sore spots of the late eighties. Hoffs poses as a pregnant teen to reach whoever is threatening a family planning clinic. Hanson and Ioki suffer through fraternity hell week while investigating a gang rape at a party. The cops end up among homeless kids and learn what street life actually costs. When one undercover operation is exposed, an officer is killed and Booker can't shake the guilt. The finale breaks the formula outright: Ioki is gravely wounded, and a vengeful Hanson lands on the wrong side of the law himself.

By now the Fox series barely bothers to dress its social drama as a teen procedural — racism, abortion, hazing and the street are all out in the open. A solid entry point for fans of retro television with an edge, and for catching Johnny Depp at the height of his Hanson years. Stream 21 Jump Street Season 3 online on iFILM.
