A new acquaintance becomes uncomfortably interested in Rob. His sister Sidney arrives from America, freshly religious and full of pointed observations that land where they hurt. Sharon's GP appointment delivers news she could have done without. Then there is Fergal's 40th birthday to survive, a big boss in from the US taking a close interest in Rob's career, and Sharon running into her mother's new man. The last two episodes take them to Boston for a family visit — and what greets them there is not what either needed.
