Synopsis
Everything Sucks! (2018), Season 1 is a Netflix coming-of-age comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM — ten episodes set in 1996, in a town actually called Boring, Oregon.
Freshman Luke drags his friends Tyler and McQuaid into the high school AV club, mostly to get close to Kate, the principal's daughter. The move kicks off a feud with the drama kids, and the only truce on offer is shooting a goofy intergalactic movie together. Meanwhile Kate quietly works out who she is, while the grown-ups behave about as maturely as the freshmen do.
The series ran for a single season, yet it pins down the VHS-era mood: tape decks, dial-up tones, a wall-to-wall nineties soundtrack. It's also an early role for Sidney Sweeney. Stream Everything Sucks! Season 1 online on iFILM.
