Childhood friends Musashi and Kojiro grew up on stories of the Bushi, the warrior bands that refused to bow to the demons. The trouble is, almost everyone around them worships those demons as gods and treats demon-slayers as outcasts. When Musashi finally sees humans torn apart by an oni, his boyish idea of heroism shatters fast.

Based on the manga by Shinobu Ohtaka, creator of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, the show carries the same big-adventure energy, brought to screen by studio Diomedea under director Ryo Okubo.
