Synopsis
Close Range (2015) is a lean American action film worth watching online on iFILM if close-quarters combat is your thing. Scott Adkins plays Colton MacReady, a rogue ex-soldier who pulls his niece out of a cartel's grip and drives straight into the next fight. Director Isaac Florentine — who has built a career making Adkins look like a weapon — keeps the geography tight: a remote farmhouse, one family, and an incoming wave of cartel enforcers backed by a sheriff already bought and paid for.
Nick Chinlund and Caitlin Keats play the relatives caught in the crossfire, but the film has no illusions about what it is. Florentine uses every room of that farmhouse for a different flavor of hand-to-hand punishment, and Adkins delivers the kind of physical precision that genre fans travel to the back catalogue to find.
