Synopsis

Rango (2011) is an animated western-comedy from Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies — watch online on iFILM. Director Gore Verbinski reunited with Johnny Depp, who voices Rango, a pet chameleon with a flair for theatre and zero survival instincts.

One jolt off a highway and Rango lands in Dirt, a sun-baked desert town where the water supply is running out and the last sheriff is already gone. The lizard improvises a new identity and talks himself into the job. Nobody buys it yet — but nobody else is stepping up. Isla Fisher voices Beans, a ranch-owner who sees through the act; Bill Nighy voices Rattlesnake Jake, the enforcer who definitely does not play along; Timothy Olyphant is the Spirit of the West, a cameo that pays off if you know your westerns.

Industrial Light & Magic produced the entire film — their first fully animated feature, rendered with the same pipeline they use for live-action visual effects. Hans Zimmer composed the score. At the 84th Academy Awards the film won Best Animated Feature. Watch Rango (2011) online on iFILM.
