Synopsis

Bad News Bears (2005) is a sports comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Richard Linklater and starring Billy Bob Thornton alongside Greg Kinnear and Marcia Gay Harden. The film runs 113 minutes and was produced in the United States.

Morris Buttermaker (Thornton) is a washed-up minor-league pitcher who got thrown out of the game for slugging an umpire. He now cleans pools for a living and drinks before noon. A lawyer hands him a Little League coaching gig no one else would touch — the Bears, a collection of kids who lose every game by double digits. Kinnear plays the rival team's slick coach, a man who treats children's baseball like a playoff run. Harden is the mom watching Buttermaker's unorthodox methods with growing alarm.

Linklater's remake of the 1976 original keeps the original's sour wit and refuses to turn the underdog arc into feel-good formula — the Bears don't become great, they just stop being a disaster. That honest streak is what makes the film land. Stream Bad News Bears (2005) online on iFILM.
