18+Season 1
Death isn't the end...it's only the beginning.
Synopsis
Afro Samurai (2007), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM. Five episodes of blood-soaked revenge anime, with Samuel L. Jackson voicing the silent swordsman at its centre. The rules of this future Japan are short: the blade decides everything.
As a boy, Afro watched the gunman Justice cut down his father and take the Number One headband. Now he wears Number Two, and the only way up is through everyone in front of him. The five chapters map his climb. A woman named Okiku offers tenderness that turns out to be a trap. The fanatical Empty Seven throw their whole arsenal at him, then send the deadliest enemy of all — a version of himself. On the snowbound peak of Mt. Shumi, the two-sword fighter Kuma fights him with full knowledge of what he's lost. Then comes Justice, and only one man walks away.
Studio Gonzo handles the animation; RZA scores it in heavy hip-hop. The mix — samurai ballad meets street groove — is the whole point. Heavy on violence, light on dialogue, relentless in pace. Stream Afro Samurai Season 1 online on iFILM.
