Synopsis
black-ish (2014–) is an ABC sitcom you can watch online on iFILM, created by Kenya Barris and built around a simple, uncomfortable question: what does it mean to be Black and wealthy in America? Anthony Anderson plays André "Dre" Johnson, a corporate executive who has achieved every marker of success and suddenly isn't sure that's the right scorecard.
Dre's kids are growing up in a mostly white, upper-middle-class suburb and shrugging off their cultural heritage without a second thought. His wife Rainbow — played by Tracee Ellis Ross in a role that earned her a Golden Globe — sees no emergency. His father, played by Laurence Fishburne, sees a full-blown crisis. Every episode turns a family argument into something bigger: a conversation about assimilation, identity, money, and who gets to define what belonging looks like.
What makes it land is that Barris isn't writing a thesis — he's writing his own life, and it shows. Stream all seasons of black-ish online on iFILM.
