Babyteeth

Babyteeth (2020) is an Australian drama from director Shannon Murphy — watch it online on iFILM. Terminally ill teenager Milla, played by Eliza Scanlan, falls for Moses, a small-time drug dealer who is exactly the kind of person her anxious, fraying parents feared most.

Moses is unreliable and older, and the relationship sends the whole household into slow-motion chaos. But Ben Mendelsohn and Essie Davis, as the parents barely managing their own lives, make this more than a sick-teen romance — it's a film about grief arriving too early, and people who can't stop it. Murphy's feature debut screened at Venice and carries more emotional weight than its quiet premise suggests.
